The foyer bench was created to fit the style of the house and provide a functional space for shoes and coats. Utilizing the original base trim and matching the fireplace’s board and batten wainscoting look, it’s hard to tell this project was done in 2017, not 1923!

The fireplace restoration brought the face of the fireplace back with the 1920’s style of the home. The pine mantle now wraps around the the structure of the chimney to make it the centerpiece of the living room. The hearth was replaced with custom plank tile to give a timeless, but touch of modern feel to it. Custom, black shutters were purchased and installed to the front, second-story windows to give the house more dimension and style. The board and batten style was used to keep the consistent 1920s ascetic.

The master closet originally only had access from the very left side via a 32in closet door. The closet width is 56in in total making the right side space virtually unusable. A 48in french door set was installed to give access to the entire closet. A closet light was also added to give much needed light when selecting your clothes to wear!
